A Journey from Humble Beginnings to Industry Leaders
The Inception of a Vision
The story of Emax Engineering’s venture into the world of industrial coatings began in 1988 with a simple requirement: finding a suitable metal finishing process for chairs. This quest led our founder, Vijay Dua, to discover powder coating, a process then in its infancy in Delhi. Fascinated by the efficiency and environmental benefits of this technique, Vijay saw an opportunity to innovate in an emerging field.
The Birth of a Trailblazer
Powder coating, involving electrostatically charged particles adhering uniformly to metal surfaces and then cured in an oven, captivated Vijay’s engineering mind. His frequent visits to a local powder coating unit, combined with his background in electronics and mechanical engineering, fueled his ambition. When the opportunity arose to acquire equipment from a unit whose owner was shifting business focus, Vijay seized it, marking the beginning of Emax Engineering’s journey in Faridabad.
Crafting the First Indigenous Machine
Emax Engineering’s first significant milestone was the creation of North India’s first indigenously constructed powder coating machine. This achievement was a product of extensive research, development, and Vijay’s personal expertise in electronics. The company then expanded its repertoire to include essential components of powder coating – ovens and booths, completing the full spectrum of powder coating equipment.
Expanding Horizons
From these humble beginnings, Emax Engineering grew, adding liquid painting systems, pre-treatment lines, and CED lines to its offerings. Our brand established a formidable presence, with clients like L&T, Tata Motors, and Orient. Initially expanding to South India with an office in Bangalore, the company later refocused on North India due to increasing competition and operational viability.
Establishing a Legacy of Quality
Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is reflected in the repeat business from prestigious clients like Linda, Osha, and BellMax. This trust signifies the excellence of our equipment and services.
Diversifying into EV Coatings
In the past five to six years, Emax Engineering has diversified into job coating, particularly for the burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) segment. We’ve established a dedicated unit for EV coatings, providing CD coating and top coat liquid paint for major players like Euler Motors. Our expansion includes three coating units, catering to diverse needs, including top coat applications for renowned two-wheeler brands.
